Since the start of the term, boys from Years 7 & 8 have been competing in their annual House basketball competition. The boys have demonstrated their commitment to their Houses by turning up before school on Friday mornings to battle it out.
Bazalgette were victorious in the first semi-final, beating Galsworthy 12 pts to 9 pts, in what was a close encounter. Olive beat Moody 14 pts to 9 pts in the other semi-final that left the final and 3rd/4th playoff to take place this week. Both the 3rd/4th playoff, as well as the final, were close and extremely competitive. Moody beat Galsworthy by 13 pts to 4 pts to secure 3rd place, with some excellent baskets scored. Bazalgette clinched glory against Olive in a tight Final, winning 10 pts to 8 pts. Despite a late last effort from Alfie B from Olive that hit the rim, Bazalgette came away with the victory!
Patrick G of Olive claimed the MVP (Most Valuable Player) for his excellent efforts and slick handling.
Well done to all the boys for taking part and making their House proud.
