We are committed to building links and relationships with local schools, charities, community projects, residents, and businesses. We are keen to instil in our boys a love of helping others and a desire to engage with the world outside of school. Rokeby’s community initiatives allow our boys to develop their communication skills and ability to work in teams. They acquire valuable work experience, which contributes to their development as well-rounded, empathetic individuals.
Building strong partnerships with local schools
Rokeby is forging strong partnerships with local primary schools through sports enrichment sessions, community planting activities and the sharing of SEND best practice.
Minibuses in the community
When our minibuses aren’t being used by our boys, our drivers transport children from local primary schools to a variety of sporting events. Many of these children would find it difficult to access these opportunities due to the cost of transportation and a lack of their own school minibuses.
Sharing our resources and expertise
Where possible, we try to share our specialist rooms and expertise with local primary school children to enhance their learning experience.
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
