ICT

We equip boys to use computational thinking and creativity to create programs, systems, and a range of content.

In our weekly ICT lessons, we emphasise building confidence in our boys’ use of a range of computing devices and software packages. Pupils become digitally literate – able to use and express themselves through information and communication technology.

A strong, cross-curricular approach underpins boys’ learning. ICT is integrated into the timetabled curriculum across the school. Each classroom is equipped with an interactive touch screen TV,  Apple TV, and computer, and boys in Year 6 and above enjoy the benefits of a 1:1 iPad deployment programme. Utilising iPads allows boys to work with greater emphasis on creativity, collaboration, and higher-order thinking across the curriculum. Laptops are also available to support learning in all age groups.

Our boys are introduced to ICT from their first few days in Reception, through the use of the interactive whiteboard with their class and independent use of laptops within the classroom.
