An important part of a boy's development is physical. He needs to expand the potential of his growing body and learn how to use it healthily.
Rokeby is justly proud of a history of significant achievement, most notably in athletics, cricket, football and rugby, but we also value the individual improvement made by each boy with our underlying philosophy of sport for all.
We have our own playing fields, a wonderful ten acre site in Worcester Park, maintained to the highest standards by skilled professionals, where the boys go for their sport twice a week.
The school hall also gives a flexible capacity for varied indoor games and gymnastics. The Astroturf facility within the grounds provides excellent cricket nets, a tennis court and a superb surface for football and hockey. It is also used for games and matches by the younger boys.

He must build up skills and habits that will enable him to enjoy the benefit of sport in later life. He can also learn valuable lessons in effort and achievement, failure and success.
Physical Education and Games are an integral part of the daily timetable. There is a wide range of sporting activities to encourage boys to be fully involved. The main games are association football and cross-country in the Autumn term, rugby football in the Spring term and cricket and athletics in the Summer term. Physical Education is a regular part of the curriculum. Basketball, badminton, golf, hockey, swimming, table-tennis and tennis are also available.
