The School's Cross Country Season has started with some brilliant competition and superb running.

The day before half term, we hosted our usual season opener against Parkside, Lanesborough and King's House at RSG. In a race open to the best runners of the four schools it was amazing to see Benjy, from Year 5, win against boys twice his size and nearly twice his age! Fellow Year 5 star, Philip followed him home in third, highlighting the talent we have coming through the school. Unfortunately the team were squeezed into second by Parkside who retained the trophy for the fifth successive year. A fantastic feat - well done to the boys in purple!

Unfortunately storm Doris had her way on the day of the Danes Hill meeting. The boys had to come home without running as the course was deemed too dangerous due to falling branches and flying cricket covers!

However, on Wednesday 1st March the weather was far kinder and our under 11 and under 13 teams ran in the Epsom College Prep Schools' Competition. The under 11's inevitably stole the show, coming second as a team out of a huge entry of 30 local prep schools. Benjy again leading the way coming 4th overall, backed up brilliantly by Philip, Matty, Oliver and Pip. A fine team performance.

The under 13's also ran well, with Rory, from Year 6, leading the way for the team, after being asked to step up an age group, closely followed by Tom, Noah and Charlie in the middle of the field.
