Primary Mathematics Challenge
On Tuesday 25th January four boys from Year 6 represented the school at the Eagle House Maths Challenge.
Pip, Felix, Arun and Rahul were split into two teams and then had to participate in three separate Maths activities which lasted for a total of an hour and a half. There was a real buzz in the hall with lots of activity and movement.
The boys fared well with Felix and Rahul coming 15th out of 39 and Pip and Arun coming 25th. The boys were treated to snacks before the journey back to school and it is fair to say that they had an enjoyable experience.
Some of the comments from the boys:
‘fun and active way to spend the afternoon’
‘lots of variety in the questions and I enjoyed them all’
‘fun and enjoyable’, ‘good way to keep fit and do Maths at the same time’
Well done to all the other boys in Year 6 for their efforts!
