On Wednesday 4th May boys selected from Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 represented Rokeby at the first Holy Cross Performing Arts Festival.
The Year 7 group had an action packed and exciting day at Rokeby Sports Ground on Thursday 28th April 2016. The School teamed up with Class Adventure, led by the irrepressible Ian Richardson, to provide the boys with a day full of activities incorporating leadership skills, teamwork and communication.
Thanks to all the parents who sent in piles of newspaper for our Arts Week sculpture project. The boys had lots of fun and new experiences. We went from artist Christian Furr to our rock Sing off through to Lego building and huge paper sculptures (via a silent disco in the playground!)
A huge THANK YOU for taking part in the Bazalgette House Charity Day. It was really lovely to see so many boys and staff take part in the penalty shoot-outs throughout the week. So far you have raised over £850 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Monday 7th March was the beginning of School Cross Country week.
This has been another very successful science week with all boys from reception to Year 8 involved in a range of exciting activities...
Year 5 went on an enrichment journey to St Alban’s Cathedral on Wednesday 24th February. St. Alban’s Cathedral is a mainly Norman and a particularly impressive building. It boasts the longest nave of any church in England.
We are getting terribly excited in the Science department as Science week is kicking off this Monday. Please click read more to see a list of the activities that will take place during the week and the year groups involved:
In Year 5 science we have started a new topic on 'Life cycles'. The boys chose an organism and creatively molded its life cycle using Play-Doh.
