We believe it is vital to offer boys opportunities to go on a wide variety of visits during their time at Rokeby, including to Fishbourne Roman Palace, Hampton Court and many places in London. Some longer, residential trips are educational in many ways, not least because they allow children to develop co-operative and social skills and learn a little responsibility.
All trips are designed to assist the curriculum where possible, and are sometimes specific field trips as in Geography and Science. The expectation is that all classes will go on at least one outing a year, which may include a visit to a theatre, art gallery or local place of religious worship.
Activity and outward-bound trips are arranged for whole year groups, starting at Year 5 and ending at the end of Year 8. Trips abroad are also often arranged: recent destinations have included annual ski trips and visits to Italy and Greece and even a cricket tour to South Africa. Such trips will usually incur an extra cost but are undoubtedly memorable experiences.
Rokeby runs various clubs and activities throughout the day and after school. Click here to download our Activities Brochure.
